Mrs. Green's Natural Market grows in Canada
Mrs. Green’s Natural Market announced on Tuesday plans to open over 20 new locations in North America over 2014.
The natural foods retailer will open additional stores in New York, New Jersey, Virginia and Washington DC as well as Ontario and Alberta.
“Mrs. Green’s has spent a lot of time carefully researching potential areas for explains,” Robin Michel, CEO, said in a press release. “We’re excited to bring our passion for all that is good to these new communities.”
Mrs. Green’s claim to fame has been a commitment to organic and all-natural products. Each location includes all-natural meats and dairy, fair trade coffee, fresh baked artisan bread, locally sourced food and beverages and 100 per cent organic produce.
Earlier this year Mrs. Green's announced plans to open a store in Burlington after Zarky's fine foods was bought by Natural Markets Food Group — the owner of Mrs. Green's. The locations and grand opening dates of future Canadian stores have not yet been released.
Mrs. Green’s first opened in Scarsdale, N.Y. in 1990 and presently have 18 locations across Canada and the U.S.
