Nations Fresh Foods is preparing to open its fourth Ontario location this fall, at The Stockyards (Weston and St. Clair) in Toronto’s west end, and continues to look for opportunities in the GTA and urban centres across the country.
The new 90,000-sq.-ft. store is to be the brand’s flagship, embracing a “grocerytainment” idea, with 60% grocery and 40% prepared/semi prepared foods for eat in/take out, as well as 20,000 sq. ft. earmarked as a playland with state-of-the-art virtual arcade.
Nations recently opened its first Mississauga location at Eglinton Avenue and Winston Churchill Boulevard. The grocer also has stores in Woodbridge and in downtown Hamilton.
Nations offers ethnically diverse foods, pasta bar, salad bar, sandwich counter, coffee counter, pizza and panini station and fresh burgers.
Nations Fresh Foods has plans to expand its prepared and take home food concept “Nations Express” in urban spaces of 20,000 to 35,000 sq. ft. Ideal sites are ground floor, main level locations with adequate parking in densely populated areas.
The privately owned company is part of the same group that operates Ocean’s Fresh Food Market.
