Nestlé Canada announces changes at the top

Nestlé Canada is announcing a leadership transition as John Carmichael, current market head of Canada, prepares to return to the United States to pursue a new opportunity outside of the food and beverage industry. 

Effective Sept. 1, Chandra Nath Kumar, currently president of Nestlé Nutrition U.S. and Canada, will step into the role of market head of Canada. The transition is currently underway. 

Kumar brings more than 27 years of experience within Nestlé to his new role, including roles in general management, marketing and finance, across such markets as the U.S., Canada, Poland, Brazil and Switzerland. 

In a press release, the company said: “We thank John for bringing his passion for people forward in everything he did and being a strong leader within the Canadian CPG industry. He has been a trusted colleague and friend to many and will be missed.”
