Nestlé Canada's Shelley Martin to retire this summer

Award-winning executive leaves the company after 28 years

Nestlé Canada president and CEO Shelley Martin is retiring at the end of July, closing a 28-year career with the Toronto-based food and beverage company. Jeff Hamilton, president Nestlé Foods Division at Nestlé USA, will replace Martin Aug. 1.

Martin joined the marketing department at Nestlé in 1990. She was named vice-president of coffee and beverages in 2002, president of Nestlé ice cream in 2008, president of the frozen division in 2012 and finally president and CEO in 2013.

Martin has been recognized with industry accolades including the Food Industry of Canada’s 2017 Golden Pencil Award. And, she was twice named one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women by the Women’s Executive Network.
