PHOTO GALLERY: Choices Market opens first Vancouver Island store

B.C.-based Choices Market has opened the doors to its first store on Vancouver Island.

The Pattison Food Group-owned banner set up shop in Parksville at 319 Island Highway East on Aug. 31 – its 11th location. 

First announced in August 2021, the 22,000 square-foot store will offer the Western Canada grocer’s usual selection of local, organic produce, dairy, meat, poultry and seafood, and other grocery products.

It's also home to Choices’ first coffee and smoothie bar, natural wellness products and nutrition services. A Pure Integrative Pharmacy will also be located inside Choices Market Parksville. 

“Parksville is a vibrant community of both young and established families, and we’re excited to be growing right alongside  them,” said Jon Janower, Choices Market chief operating officer, in a statement. “This location will be our first foray onto the Island, and  we’re excited to be serving this incredible community. As a B.C. owned and operated grocer that specializes in organic and specialty food and wellness items, we are thrilled to be able to become a part of the lives of British Columbians in the Parksville Qualicum Beach region.”
