Ferrero Canada launched its new Ferrero Rocher chocolate squares production line at its Brantford manufacturing facility. 

The production line is a part of Ferrero’s $445 million investment in Canadian operations. The Brantford site opened in 2006 and employs over 1,300 workers. The new production line will see an additional 500 jobs added to the facility.

“This is another important milestone in Ferrero’s history. This expansion represents a commitment to Ferrero's tremendous momentum in the region and will strengthen our manufacturing capabilities and supply chain,” said Omar Zausa, president, Ferrero Canada, in a press release. 

Marking the first-ever production of the global innovation, the facility held a ribbon cutting. Attendees included Michael Lindsey, resident and chief business officer, Ferrero North America; Omar Zausa, president, Ferrero Canada and Eric Houdet, SVP Canada industrial, Brantford plant director.
