With a focus on local and regional fare, the second largest IGA Extra in Quebec has opened today in Magog, in Quebec’s Eastern Townships.
Co-owner Annick Gazaille says Sobeys gave her “extraordinary” leeway to open a store in her own vison.
The IGA Gazaille was built at a cost of $17 million and comprises 52,000 sq. ft., second only to an IGA in Gatineau. It replaces Gazaille’s 20,000 sq. ft store in Magog that she’s been running for 10 years and which closed a week ago.
