PHOTOS: Farm Boy opens in Ottawa South
Farm Boy has opened its 53rd store.
The Ontario grocer opened its doors in Ottawa’s growing Findlay Creek neighbourhood on June 18.
Situated at 4828 Bank Street, the store is part of an expanding business district.
Farm Boy Findlay Creek offers the Empire Company-owned retailer’s usual fare of farm-fresh produce, including local and organic options; Ontario-sourced fresh dairy, meat and grocery products; Canadian beef, pork, chicken and select international offerings; an extended selection of frozen and grocery items; and convenient foods and everyday non-food essentials such as pet food, baby and paper products.
The store also features Farm Boy’s Hot Bar, Chef’s Market Soup Bar and Salad Bar, offering grab-and-go meal items, as well as the retailer’s private label products and an assortment of wine, beer and ready-to-drink beverages.
Opening celebrations took place on June 18 to 21 with live music, product samples, giveaways and more.
“Ottawa has always been an important community for Farm Boy, and expanding our presence here allows us to better serve our neighbours with more of what they’re looking for,” said Shawn Linton, president and general manager of Farm Boy, in a press release. “From fresh, market‑style offerings to everyday pantry staples, and fan-favourite private label products, our goal is to offer our customers an easy, discovery-filled shop at excellent value.”
