Farm Boy planted its poles in ski country last week.

The Empire-owned banner opened at 39 Huron St. in Collingwood, Ont., replacing a former Sobeys location.

Designed with the local community in mind, the store features a custom mural depicting the Collingwood and Blue Mountain region, and an area dedicated to local vendors including Root to Fruit and Georgian Bay Granola.

Other highlights include:

• Butcher-quality Canadian beef, pork, and chicken
• A "World Market" offering international and globally inspired products
• A hot bar, soup bar and salad bar
• Arterra Wine Rack
