Pinnacle Foods to close Quebec plant
Production of gluten-free products will be move to other facilities
Pinnacle Foods, the maker of such brands as Duncan Hines, Earth Balance and Hungry-Man, is closing its plant in Laval, Quebec.
In a press release, the New Jersey-based company said the decision was made after a third-party contract was not renewed. The company also said production of gluten-free products would move to other facilities.
The plant will close in November and result in approximately 150 layoffs.
