The Produce Marketing Association has announced its annual Fresh Summit & Expo will be held online this year.
In a video posted on PMA's website, CEO Cathy Burns said after speaking with attendees, exhibitors and buyers about their willingness to travel it became "abundantly" clear that the convention could not continue as planned.
The three-day event had been scheduled to take place in Dallas, Texas between October 13 and 15. It will be replaced by a virtual convention.
"Over three days in October we will bring together our global community in a way that facilitates and elevates business connections as well as provides fresh perspectives and insights to spark new ideas to help fuel your professional growth," said Burns.
PMA said it would share more information with exhibitors and sponsors over the coming weeks.
