Puratos names Andy Brimacombe as president of North American Market

Brimacombe will take on the role at the ingredients company on January 1

Puratos, a global leader in bakery, patisserie and chocolate ingredients, has appointed Andy Brimacombe as president of North American Market and member of its Group Executive Committee.

Brimacombe, currently president of Puratos USA, will step into the role on Jan. 1, succeeding Paul Bakus, who is retiring in February. Brimacombe will report to Puratos Group CEO Pierre Tossut.

As president of Puratos USA since 2018, Brimacombe has overseen a dynamic period of transformation and growth, and the company says his promotion marks a significant step forward in Puratos' strategy to accelerate innovation and sustainable development across the United States, Mexico and Canada.

"Andy has proven himself as a high-impact leader with a customer-first approach and a strong track record in business transformation, people development and operational excellence," said Tossut in a release. "His appointment reflects our confidence in his ability to scale our vision and create long-term value for our customers, partners, and communities throughout the region."

Headquartered in Belgium, Puratos is a 106-year-old company that operates 65 production units in 52 countries along with more than 90 innovation centres around the world.
