As a follow up to ensure customer safety, a number of employees have been trained on the devices as well as CPR basics.
“It gives us peace of mind knowing that we could make a difference in helping a very desperate situation,” said Schley in a release. “This is one way that we can give back to our communities, from the perspective of aiding 9-1-1 dispatchers, first responders and the general public.”
Westport, Ont.-based grocer Kudrinko’s also installed a public access defibrillator in August.
