Quality Foods partner receives Diamond Jubilee Medal

John Briuolo, a founding partner of Quality Foods on Vancouver Island, has been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

B.C.'s Lieutenant Governor, Stephen L. Point, presented the award to Briuolo (left in photo above) during a ceremony at Government House in Victoria Oct. 31.

Briuolo was given the medal because of his significant contributions and achievements in his community. He has provided support to many worthwhile endeavours, including the Victoria Symphony and many other arts and cultural organizations and events.

The Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal program is part of the celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of Elizabeth II’s accession to the throne.

This year, some 60,000 Canadians will have received the medal.

Quality Foods was founded 25 years ago and today operates 11 stores in B.C.
