Ronzoni Foods Canada changes name to Catelli Foods Corp.
The Montreal pasta company calls the move a business change
Ronzoni Foods Canada Corporation announced it has changed its name to Catelli Foods Corporation (Corporation D’Aliments Catelli), effective October 1, 2013.
“The name change honours the organization’s long history with the Catelli brand,” said Doug Watt, VP and GM of Catelli Foods Corporation. The company also stated the name change is "a business change, and not a consumer communication change" so there would be no new marketing campaign or new products specific to this news.
The Montreal-based company is a subsidiary of Ebro Foods, S.A. in Spain, the second largest pasta manufacturer in the world.
Along with the Catelli brand of pasta products, Catelli Foods Corporation brands include Minute Rice and Healthy Harvest brands.
