Saputo extends partnership with TFSS
Who: Saputo
What: The Quebec-based dairy company has extended its partnership with the Toronto Foundation for Student Success (TFSS).
A partner of TFSS since 2014, Saputo is committing an additional $180,000 over the next three years to help support the non-profit’s Beyond 3:30 after-school program—a free program offered in 21 schools across the Toronto District School Board to students ages eight to 14.
Beyond 3:30 provides attendees with a safe space, nutritious meals, fitness activities, help with homework and the Junior Chefs’ Club—fueled by Saputo—for kids to learn how to cook healthy, adorable meals under the guidance of trained nutrition staff.
“In those critical hours after school, many kids are left without structure or support,” said Stéphanie Roy, senior manager of social impact and employee engagement, in a press release. “Thanks to our work with the TFSS, we’re able to give students a space where they can build friendships, stay active, and gain real-world skills, from the kitchen to the classroom.”
