Skittles campaign celebrates Pride Month
Skittles is launching a new campaign for Pride Month.
The “Ink the Rainbow” campaign will see the brand offer rainbow-inspired temporary tattoos for the 2SLGBTQI+ community and its allies.
As part of the activation, Skittles is partnering with mobile tattoo studio Tattour, Canada’s first mobile tattoo studio.
Temporary tattoos will be on offer at Pride Toronto’s Sankofa Square from June 27 at 12 p.m. to June 29 at 5 p.m.
For every tattoo distributed, Skittles will donate $1 to restore rainbow crosswalks nationwide.
To lead the restoration effort, Skittles has teamed up with Travis Myers, creator of the world’s longest rainbow road.
“Skittles has a proud history of supporting the 2SLGBTQI+ community through meaningful Pride initiatives” said Patrick Zeng, marketing director, Skittles Canada, in a press release. “With Ink the Rainbow, we’re taking that commitment a step further by helping preserve the symbols that matter most. From restoring rainbow crosswalks to empowering self-expression through temporary tattoos, this campaign is about creating lasting visibility, fostering inclusion, and ensuring Pride has a permanent place in our communities.”
Skittles is partnering with 2SLGBTQI+ influencers to share their experiences at the Skittles x Pride activation across TikTok.
The campaign is also brought to life through an “Out of Phone” experience at Sankofa Square, sharing influencer content captured on-site in digital OOH.
