Canadian Grocer is ready to recognize innovative women making our industry better.
We’ve just put out the call for nominations for the fifth annual Star Women Awards. Click here to nominate or to get more information.
The Star Women Awards celebrate the achievements of women across Canadian grocery—from those working in the stores to the presidents of consumer packaged goods companies, from operations directors to store managers.
“We’re thrilled to once again recognize the incredible contributions of women across the country,” Rob Gerlsbeck, editor of Canadian Grocer, said.
To win a Star Women Award, nominees must be demonstrating innovation, leadership and a commitment to the grocery industry in Canada. Last year, 16 women received the award. (To see a complete list of past winners, click here.)
This year we’re changing things up slightly. A jury of Star Women alumni will select the winners. In past years, the editorial staff of Canadian Grocer chose.
“Who better to make the selection than the women who have already won this award,” Gerlsbeck noted.
It’s easy to nominate someone you know (or yourself) for a Star Women Award. Simply click here, fill out the form and submit. Deadline to nominate is March 30.
Winners will be announced on Canadiangrocer.com in June and featured in the July/August issue of the magazine.
We’ll also celebrate the winners’ at the annual Star Women Breakfast in Toronto Oct. 18.
