After several months of construction, the 107th Super C store officially opened its doors Friday (March 1) in St-Nicolas, Que.

Representing a nearly $11 million investment, the 35,000 square-foot store has created around 120 jobs.

Located at 440 Route Marie-Victorin, Super C St-Nicolas opens in a brand-new building – its 11th in the Quebec City region.

The Metro-owned discount banner’s newest location features spacious aisles, online ordering via click and collect and self-serve checkouts.

Shoppers can expect a wide variety of fresh products and groceries, including fresh meats, large-format, organic and natural products, a selection of craft beers and microbrews, as well as Première Moisson products.

Super C also presented a $5,000 cheque to Moisson Quebec, a long-time Metro partner, notably through its food recovery program One More Bite.

"The addition of this new store is part of a deployment plan that will allow us to consolidate our position as the best discounters in Quebec. We are proud to say that we have the best quality-price ratio," said Loïc Cloutier, SVP of Super C, in a statement. "Our teams work hard every day to offer consumers quality products at very competitive prices and a shopping experience that is both simple and efficient. We are committed to three guarantees: Always Fresh, Always in Stock and Always Great Prices."
