Save-On-Foods unveils leadership changes
Executive shuffle part of the B.C.-based company's growth plan
Overwaitea Food Group’s Save-On-Foods banner has made several leadership changes as "it continues down its path of rapid growth," according to a press release issued Friday morning.
The following executive changes come into effect Oct. 1:
- Jamie Nelson will move into the executive vice-president or retail role to oversee merchandising, marketing and operations;
- As executive vice-president of Save-On-Foods, Blendle ‘Scotty’ Scott will oversee the e-commerce supply chain in addition to his current duties which include resource protection, whole sale and store development;
- Adding to his current responsibilities, executive vice-president of finance Paul Hazra will oversee the legal and IT departments;
- A promotion will move Mike Olson from vice-president of fresh merchandising to the senior vice-president of merchandising role;
- Wayne Currie, the current vice-president of IT, will become the senior vice-president of information technology;
- Vice-president of centre store Brenda Kirk will oversee the company’s corporate brands division as vice-president of innovation;
- In addition to his role as vice-president of supply chain, Mike Fong will oversee the logistic portion of the company’s rapidly e-commerce division;
- Dan Howe, vice-president of marketing and more rewards, will add digital strategies to his responsibilities;
- Vice-president of people Gayle Corah moves into the vice-president of retail services role to oversee the customer service call centre, the front end operations team and the risk management division;
- Director of communications Heidi Ferriman will hold the vice-president of people and communications title.
