The Association of Canadian Advertisers (ACA) announced that Philip Donne, president of Campbell Company of Canada, will receive the ACA gold medal award for 2013.
First presented in 1941, the award is presented to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the advancement of marketing communications in Canada.
In a release, Ron Lund the association’s president said, “With Phil’s guidance, Campbell Canada has set the pace as a company whose core values include a commitment to provide Canadians with healthy, affordable and delicious food choices, from its iconic Campbell’s soups to its Pepperidge Farm baked snacks and V8 beverages.”
Donne will receive the ACA Gold Medal Award at this year’s Marketing Awards gala on May 30 at The Carlu in Toronto.
“As marketers, we have tremendous opportunity to bring vibrant, meaningful solutions to Canadians in a way that is both exciting and socially responsible,” he said.
With his packaged goods industry experience includes more than 15 years with Kellogg Canada, where he was president and CEO, as well he held senior marketing positions at General Mills, Duracell Canada and Coca-Cola Foods.
In 2012, Donne received the Canadian grocery industry’s prestigious Golden Pencil Award.
