T&T reveals opening date for first California store
T&T Supermarket is opening its first store in California next month.
The Asian grocery chain will finally open to shoppers in San Jose on June 18.
Located at the Westgate Centre at 1600 Saratoga Avenue—the site of a former Walmart—the 55,000 square-foot store will be T&T’s third store stateside.
The Loblaw Companies grocer initially planned to open the Bay Area location last fall, but the launch was delayed due to power and utility issues.
“Thank you everyone for all your patience,” T&T CEO Tina Lee said in a video posted to social media. “I know you’ve been seeing the sign up and driving by every day. It’s been a little slow in the construction process but let me tell you it’s going to be worth the wait.”
T&T has three other stores planned for the state in Irvine, the Greater Los Angeles Area and San Francisco.
The grocer opened its first U.S. store in Washington in December 2024. Its second stateside location opened in Lynnwood, Washington in November 2025.
