T&T Supermarket is headed to la belle province.
For its first-ever store in Quebec, Loblaw’s Asian specialty grocer is narrowing its search to the Island of Montreal, according to a press release. T&T plans to open the store in the next 12 to 24 months.
"After receiving many requests over the years from T&T fans who live in Montreal, I'm happy to say we are finally coming," said Tina Lee, CEO of T&T Supermarkets, in the release.
T&T offers a wide variety of Asian specialty products including fresh produce, meat, seafood, grocery items, and its own signature kitchen and bakery items.
"Our goal is always to be at the forefront of Asian food innovation, and I am so excited to introduce our offering to Montreal, a city that has such a vibrant food-loving culture," said Lee.
Though a location has yet to be finalized, recruitment efforts and local vendor outreach is underway. T&T is looking for department heads, assistant department heads and department supervisors living in Montreal.
T&T currently operates 29 stores across British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. The chain was bought by Loblaw in 2009.
