UnjhaSpice branded cumin powder recalled over possible Salmonella risk

UnjhaSpice Inc. is recalling its UnjhaSpice brand Cumin Powder from the marketplace because of possible Salmonella contamination. The recall covers the 454-gram package with code 1610001 and a Best Before date of October 2023. The Cumin Powder has been sold in Ontario.

The recall was triggered by the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) test results. The CFIA is conducting a food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products. Currently there have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of this product.
