Various frozen mangoes recalled over Hepatitis A risk

Nature’s Touch Frozen Foods Inc. is recalling various frozen mangoes sold under several brands from the marketplace over possible Hepatitis A contamination.

The recall was triggered during an investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safely investigation, which may lead to the recall of additional products.

CFIA has reported three laboratory-confirmed cases of Hepatitis A illness being investigated in Quebec and Nova Scotia. No hospitalizations or deaths have been reported.

The affected Nature’s Touch Frozen Products have been sold under the following brands: Compliments, Irresistibles, President’s Choice and Nature’s Touch that have been sold in Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan (possibly nationally).

Compliments – Mango Mania, 600 g (UPC 0 55742 50430 9) best before Nov. 10 and Dec. 18 2022

Irresistibles – Mango Chunks 600 g (UPC 0 59749 87600 1) best before Nov. 10 2022

President’s Choice – Mango Chunks 600 g (UPC 0 60383 99387 0) best before Nov. 06 and Nov. 10 2022
