Nature’s Touch Frozen Foods Inc. is recalling various frozen mangoes sold under several brands from the marketplace over possible Hepatitis A contamination.
The recall was triggered during an investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) is conducting a food safely investigation, which may lead to the recall of additional products.
CFIA has reported three laboratory-confirmed cases of Hepatitis A illness being investigated in Quebec and Nova Scotia. No hospitalizations or deaths have been reported.
The affected Nature’s Touch Frozen Products have been sold under the following brands: Compliments, Irresistibles, President’s Choice and Nature’s Touch that have been sold in Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan (possibly nationally).
