The Very Good Food Company names new CFO

Pratik Patel is joining The Very Good Food Company as chief financial officer, effective July 15th. The announcement comes eight days after Parimal Rana was named Very Good’s CEO and four months after co-founders Mitchell Scott and James Davison left the brand.

Patel, a CPA, brings more than 15 years of experience in senior accounting and finance to the role. He joins Very Good from the media industry, where, most recently, he was head of finance at Bardel Entertainment, a Canadian animation studio. Prior to his time in media, Patel held financial positions in the custom residential and electric power industries.

“Pratik's impressive leadership track record within finance and accounting roles brings a welcome addition to our management team and will support our ongoing stabilization and optimization effort as we focus on realizing our full growth potential,” said Rana, in a press release.
