Voilà reveals Thanksgiving shopping trends

Sobeys’ Voilà delivery service has revealed what Ontarians are buying for Thanksgiving (Oct. 9) this year.

Milton takes the top spot for ordering the most pumpkin puree, sweet potatoes, 2 lb carrot bags, Compliments pumpkin pie and cranberry sauce.

West Toronto (Bloor West Village/Swansea) secured the second spot for pumpkin puree, followed by the community of Elora.

Other communities ordering their fair share of sweet potatoes are East York in Toronto (Woodbine Heights) and East Toronto (Danforth East).

Georgetown and East Toronto (Danforth East) followed Milton for 2 lb carrot bags. 

When it comes to Compliments pumpkin pie, East Toronto (Danforth East) and Etobicoke (New Toronto/Mimico South/Humber Bay Shores) came in second and third after Milton.

Caledon and Aurora followed Milton for cranberry sauce.

Finally, the communities eating ham on Thanksgiving were: Innisfil, Bowmanville West, Orangeville South, Ajax Southwest and Aurora.
