Walmart Canada is hosting a rollback event in recognition of its 30th anniversary.

The retailer made its debut in Canada in 1994 with 122 stores across the country.

Since March 7, the retailer has introduced rollbacks on items across all areas of the business – including thousands of offers delivering savings of 30% or more.

Walmart Brands will also introduce a birthday-inspired offering across bakery, grocery and frozen beginning mid-May.

"I want to thank Canadians for the trust they've placed in us over the last 30 years. Thank you for welcoming us into your homes, into your everyday lives and into your celebrations," said Gonzalo Gebara, president and CEO, Walmart Canada, in a press release. "As we look to the next 30 years, we're going to continue doing what we do best: being there for you and your families with the products you need, when you need them, at the every day low prices you expect from us. That's our promise to Canadians – and it's the same one we launched with in 1994."
