Walmart to open fourth Supercentre in London, Ont.

Five new locations are slated to open across Canada over the next two years

A new Walmart Supercentre is expected to open in London, Ont. in 2028. 

The approximately 140,000-sq.-ft. location will serve as an anchor tenant for an expanding commercial development at Wonderland Road S. and Wharncliffe Road S. 

The Supercentre will feature full grocery, bakery and deli departments as well as general merchandise and a pharmacy.

Future customers at this location will have access to Walmart Canada’s full online order pickup and delivery options.

“As part of our $6.5 billion investment in Canada announced last year, we’re excited to announce this new Supercentre, located in southwest London,” said Shawn Fujiki, senior director, real estate, Walmart Canada. “As the nearby community continues to grow, including several planned developments nearby, we’re proud to bring Walmart Canada’s assortment and everyday low prices to the community.”

As part of the 2025 investment, Walmart Canada opened new Supercentres in Port Credit and Oakville in Ontario and its Ambient Distribution Centre in Vaughan, Ont. 

Five new Supercentres are slated to open over the next two years including Fort McMurray, Alta., Sherbrooke, Que., Tsuut’ina Nation, Alta., and Hamilton, Ont.
