Watch this: Instacart’s new holiday ad

Ad draws on nostalgia with classic holiday cues

Instacart’s new winter holiday campaign is an extension of its “Groceries That Overdeliver” platform. 

The newest campaign, “Polar Bear,” draws on visual cues from classic holiday specials. 

The live action scenes were shot in Canada and the campaign creative has also been localized for French-speaking audiences in Quebec.

“We designed this campaign to celebrate the people quietly holding the holidays together,” said Jasmine Taylor, VP of brand marketing, Instacart. “There’s so much pressure to make every moment perfect, and we wanted to offer some relief. The stop-motion style of our new holiday spots let us tap into something familiar and nostalgic, but we used it to tell a very modern story about how Instacart can help when things get chaotic, whether it’s skipping the pie or dodging the turkey panic.”
