Wholly Halal, a new halal meat delivery service, launches in Ontario
Ammar Halal Meats has launched Wholly Halal, a new halal meat box delivery service. The service delivers locally sourced, halal-by-hand meats to homes throughout Ontario with free delivery.
An extension of Ammar’s Halal Meats, a family-run butcher shop since 2004, “Wholly Halal was created in direct response to a growing need within the Muslim community for convenient, high-quality halal products that are transparently sourced and reliably delivered,” notes a press release.
The process of creating the delivery service was “both exciting and deeply personal,” says Faaez Al-hendi, founder of Wholly Halal. “We wanted to preserve the same care and craftsmanship that our customers experience in-store, translated into an online model. It took a great deal of planning, coordination with our community, and investment in digital infrastructure to make sure the experience was seamless from order to doorstep.”
Through decades of serving local families, the Ammar’s team observed how many Ontarians face challenges accessing halal meat. At the same time, a growing number of consumers have become more conscious about where their meat comes from — seeking food that is both ethical and local.
“Wholly Halal addresses that demand by partnering with Ontario farmers and suppliers who share its commitment to sustainability, transparency and community-driven values,” says Al-hendi.
Each Wholly Halal box offers Ontario-raised beef, veal, poultry and lamb, all processed locally and halal by hand. Customers can choose from curated boxes or build their own, with flexible size options.

Ammar’s Halal Meats started as a small family butcher shop in 2004 and has become a trusted name in halal quality and community giving,” says Al-hendi. “Launching Wholly Halal is a natural evolution of that legacy—allowing us to reach families we’ve never been able to serve before while continuing to support the local economy.
