Zehrs renovates St. Catharines, Ont. store

Zehrs has renovated its location on Geneva Street in St. Catharines, Ont. 

The store features a redesigned layout, expanded product offerings and new general merchandise products, including home decor, toys and housewares. 

Customers will also find an expanded assortment of Joe Fresh styles, Natural Value products and a growing assortment of ethnic foods, in-store baked goods and hot food options.

The store will continue to carry locally sourced products including Roman Cheese. It is notably “one of the region’s top-selling stores for donuts,” Loblaw Companies said. 

“We have been looking forward to this renovation for a long time and are excited to share the refreshed store with our customers,” said Larry Antonio, store manager, in a press release. “We’re proud to offer our customers an easier shopping experience and an expanded assortment of products across several departments that we know the community will love.”

As part of the opening, Zehrs Geneva Street is donating $5,336 to Community Care of St. Catharines.

Antonio was born and raised in the Niagara region and has been with Loblaw for 32 years. He began his career as a grocery manager before progressing to assistant store manager. Antonio has been a store manager for 15 years. 

Located at 285 Geneva Street, the store employs 180 people.
