Ziploc and food rescue organization Second Harvest are partnering with celebrity chef Matt Basile to host a one-day pop-up restaurant and food museum in Toronto.
The RESTaurant will offer classic dishes inspired by commonly left over foods, such as fried rice, arancini and stuffed peppers.
Guests can join Basile from a demo, and learn about food waste prevention from Second Harvest CEO Lori Nikkel.
The pop-up will take place Nov. 22 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Archeo in the Distillery District (31 Trinity Street).
Together, Ziploc and Second Harvest will recover unsold food and provide up to 500,000 meals for Canadians families in need this holiday season.
