Airbnb partners with Instacart to offer grocery delivery in U.S. and Canada

Canadians staying at Airbnb rentals will soon be able to place a grocery delivery order in advance of their trip.

The company has partnered with Instacart to allow guests to order groceries directly in the Airbnb app up to three weeks before check-in. 

U.S. travellers can take advantage of the link-up now with $0 delivery fees on orders of $10 or more. Airbnb said the Canadian launch is planned for the coming weeks.

Airbnb said grocery has been one of its most-requested services. 

“There’s nothing like arriving somewhere new and having it feel like home from day one,” said Ryan Hamburger, chief commercial officer at Instacart, in a press release. “That’s exactly what groceries powered by Instacart does for Airbnb guests—and now we’re bringing that experience to millions of travelers across the US, with Canada coming soon, driving new demand for our retail partners and making it easier than ever for guests to get the groceries they need wherever they’re traveling."
