A new No Frills has opened in Toronto.

Located at the intersection of Dundas Street West and Bloor Street West, Alessandria’s No Frills offers produce, everyday essentials and an assortment of multicultural products.

The Loblaw Companies-owned discount banner's new location also features a bakery, hot rotisserie chickens and beer and wine.

Owner Alessandria Ferreira began her career with Loblaw in 2014 as a cashier. Over the years, she progressed through several roles including front end manager, SAP analyst and store administrator.

Ferreira joined No Frills’ Franchisee Academy Program in 2025.

“Opening my first No Frills is an incredibly proud moment and being able to do it in a neighbourhood that has been part of my life since childhood makes it even more special,” Ferreira said in a press release. “I have so many fond memories of spending time in this community, and I’m excited to now be part of its future.”

To celebrate the grand opening, Alessandria’s No Frills will donate $1,500 to the George Chuvalo Neighbourhood Centre.

Alessandria’s No Frills is located at 2280 Dundas Street West.
