Andrew Peller Ltd. (APL) — a producer and marketer of wines and craft spirits with brands that include Peller Estates, Trius, Thirty Bench and Wayne Gretzky — is making a number of changes to its executive team.
The Grimbsy, Ont.-based company has appointed Craig McDonald as its executive vice-president, operations. McDonald, who is currently vice-president of winemaking and integrated supply chain, takes over the role from Brendan Wall, who is departing APL in late May.
James Cole, executive vice-president, business to consumer, is also leaving the company in late May. Patrick O'Brien, chief commercial officer, will take on the responsibilities of The Wine Shop, while José Salgado, executive vice-president, corporate planning and development will assume responsibilities for the Estate Wine Group.
"We want to thank Brendan and Jim for their valuable contributions and wish them well in their future opportunities," said John Peller, president and chief executive officer in a statement. "We are excited for the leadership Craig will bring to operations given his long tenure at APL and his strong industry knowledge and credentials. Additionally, Patrick and Jose's leadership of The Wine Shop and the Estate Wine Group is a natural extension of their current responsibilities."
