Costco's July sales up 4.2% in Canada

Costco Wholesale Corp. reported net sales of $23.12 billion for the retail month of July, up from $20.89 billion last year.

Net sales for the first 48 weeks were $273.55 billion, compared to $248.35 billion last year.

Comparable sales for the period ended Aug. 2 increased 4.2% in Canada. The U.S. saw a 10.3% increase while Other International sales rose 5%.

Digitally enabled sales increased 17.7% in July.

Costco currently operates 115 warehouses in Canada.
