Dare Foods names new president
William Farrell, chairman of the board at Dare Foods Limited, announced the appointment of Peter Luik as president, effective October 1, 2012.
Luik is only the sixth president in Dare's 120 years.
He joins Dare with more than 23 years of professional experience in food brands.
Most recently, he was the president and CEO of Heinz Canada.
In his role as president at Dare, Luik will be responsible for all aspects of the company.
"With his solid track record of delivering growth and profitability, extensive knowledge and industry experience, we are pleased to welcome Peter to Dare to lead the company through a new and exciting growth plan," said Farrell in a release.
He serves on the board of directors and acts as a sub-committee chair for two key industry associations, Food and Consumer Products of Canada and Food Processors of Canada, and holds a cabinet chair position for the United Way.
