Greg Ramier, previously the market division president for Loblaw Cos. Ltd., has joined EY Canada as a senior advisor.
Ramier shared the news on LinkedIn, writing: “I kick-started my journey at EY two decades ago. Today, I’m proud to be rejoining a practice dedicated to helping Canadian retailers and producers carve pathways to success in a changing world. And make no mistake: things really are changing.”
From 1996 to 1998, the executive served as a consulting manager for EY.
“Consumer expectations have evolved,” the post continues. “People are looking for a different kind of customer experience — and making buying decisions accordingly. This reality is compounded by all the market factors we see making headlines day after day: inflation, uncertainty and more. Future-proofing retail operations now requires leaders to balance smart spending and exceptional execution against the customer’s new definition of meaningful value. At EY, I’m going to help businesses do exactly that. I can’t wait to dive in.”
Ramier spent more than two decades at Loblaw, starting out as VP and general manager, PC Mastercard. He was named president of the market division in November 2017, and left the company in January of this year.
Prior to Loblaw, Ramier worked at Canadian Tire and DuPont.
