Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) reported sales of $11.7 billion in 2025, down slighty from $11.8 billion the year before.

Net earnings for the year totalled $462 million (up from $297 in 2024), allowing FCL to return a $261 million patronage allocation to local Co-ops.

FCL released its 2025 financial results at the company’s 97th Annual Meeting, which was attended by delegates representing local co-operative associations from across Western Canada.

Rather than focus on the challenges and instability of 2025, FCL CEO Heather Ryan said in a press release that attention should be placed on what the company was able to accomplish for its members and the communities in which it operates.

“Despite the economic uncertainty, we stood together as Canadians, but more importantly, as a co-operative grounded in our values-based approach to business. With that, we are proud to return $261 million in patronage to local Co-ops and Co-op members across Western Canada," she said .

Over the past five years, FCL has given back nearly $1.6 billion to local Co-ops, resulting in consistent support of more than 650 communities across Western Canada.
