What: Store managers at Food Basics raised $11,200 for Feed Ontario at Metro’s Store Managers Conference.
At the event, held in-person for the first time since 2019, managers at the banner participated in fundraising activities over the course of two days. The Food Basics executive team matched the donation, bringing the total to $22,400.
Feed Ontario is the province's largest collective of hunger-relief organizations. Together with food banks, industry partners, and local communities, it works to end hunger and poverty by delivering food, developing innovative programming and driving change through research and advocacy.
Food Basics operates more than 130 stores throughout Ontario.
