Hasty Market signs new franchise agreement for The Market concept
Hasty Market has signed a franchise agreement for its The Market urban neighbourhood store concept.
Marietta Cini, senior director of store operations and franchise sales with Hasty Market, posted on LinkedIn that a new franchise agreement has been signed for the concept in the Greater Toronto Area.
With this agreement, The Market brand will grow to four locations in Ontario, including two locations in Hamilton and one in Ingersoll.
Details around the location and opening are yet to be shared.
The Market's first location opened in Hamilton last April at 165 James St. South. At that time, Hasty Market described the new store as “where convenience meets community.”
It has some 5,000 sq-ft. of floor space and stocks traditional convenience store staples along side groceries, prepared meals to-go, fresh coffee and smoothies and other items.
Added to the mix of offerings is also beverage alcohol. Cini said the selection could be tailored to meet local drinking trends and demands.
