Doritos makes its Super Bowl return with a new spot starring musicians Jack Harlow, Missy Elliot and Elton John.
The TV commercial stars Harlow struggling to find originality for his new track. Drawing inspiration from the shape of his favourite snack – Doritos Sweet & Tangy BBQ – the rapper transforms his music (and the industry) with the tune of a triangle instrument.
"Doritos has a long history of surprising fans with the unexpected through bold Super Bowl commercials," said Jess Spaulding, chief marketing officer at PepsiCo Foods Canada, in a statement. "Since music is a way of life for Doritos fans, the brand teamed up with musical icons to inspire fans to ‘try another angle’ and break out of the norm.”
New Doritos Sweet & Tangy BBQ flavoured tortilla chips are available nationally throughout Canada for a limited time only (until May 12).
