Kenz' Products launches a gluten-free, low-carb cloud bread

Kenz' Low-Carb Clouds is the first of its kind on the Canadian market
1/3/2017

Maxwell Roach can often be found touring across Canada, playing with popular Canadian acts such as Matt Dusk, Shawn Hook, Kardinall Offishall and Serena Ryder. The Juno-nominated graduate of the University of Toronto’s Faculty of Music has also shared the stage with renowned artists such as members of The Rolling Stones, Beyonce and Andy Kim.

But he's also an entrepreneur, and founder and CEO of Kenz’ Products. Founded in 2014, Kenz' Products recently launched Kenz' Low-Carb Clouds—a low carb, low fat bread made primarily of eggs and cottage cheese.

"I'm the type of consumer that loves to pack sandwiches for lunch and snacks," says Roach. "Our cloud bread creates that option in a quick and easy, off the shelf, frozen bag."

The stand-up pouch holds eight slices in each.

When did it launch?

The product launched on December 20th, 2016 into various locations across the GTA, including Noah's Natural Foods, Ambrosia Natural Foods and Ontario Nutrition.

What makes this product unique?

This product is a spin on the trend of 'cloud bread' that’s been seen on Dr. Oz and Women’s Health. However, Kenz' Products is the first company to bring this gluten-free, low-fat, bread to the Canadian market.

What consumer is this product aimed at?

This product is for healthy eaters on-the-go who want or need to maintain their planned meals. This includes those who may be in need of a low-sugar alternative, such as those with Celiac disease, as well as those focusing on weight loss and/or general health.

What is the suggested retail price? (by pack size)

$8.49 for a 90g bag containing eight slices.

How are you marketing this product?

Current marketing plans include a GTA-wide media tour, recruiting regularly featured media expert Jesse Lane Lee, the holistic nutritionist behind Jesse Lane Wellness, securing segments with various online and broadcast media. The PR initiative is coupled with Facebook ad promotion with cross-promotions with like-minded partners in the areas of health, wellness and nutrition in the coming months.
