Kraft Heinz announces Canadian leadership team changes

Mark Ayer is leaving organization to pursue other opportunities
3/1/2016

The Kraft Heinz Company has announced a series of executive changes to its Canadian leadership team.

Brian Arbique, vice-president of sales, is retiring from Kraft Heinz after a 31-year career, while Mark Ayer, general manager of food service, is leaving the organization to pursue other opportunities.

Dan Lafrance will now oversee Kraft-Heinz’s retail and foodservice channels as vice-president of sales and foodservice.

Lafrance most recently held the position of customer vice-president of category sales planning at Kraft Heinz. Prior to that, he held a series of roles within Kraft, as well as VP sales at CanGro Foods.

Ayer began his career in Kraft in 1989, holding a series of sales-related positions. He also held positions at Gilette Canada and Procter & Gamble before returning to Kraft in 2014 as vice-president of field sales.

He was appointed head of foodservice last July, one month after the Competition Bureau approved the merger of H.J. Heinz Co and Kraft Foods Group.
