The new Kraft Heinz Company has found a president to lead its Canadian division.
The company has announced the appointment of Carlos Piani as zone president of the Canada division. He starts Tuesday.
Most recently, Piani held the position of CEO at real estate investment company PDG, based in Brazil. There, Piani led the merger of several companies.
Kraft Heinz's Canadian division will operate as a stand-alone company. Piani will report directly to Kraft Heinz's CEO, Bernardo Heez.
The Canadian division's leadership team was announced last month, including Mark Ayer as head of foodservice and Tony Matta as chief marketing officer.
Tim Berman, president of Kraft Canada, will retire in December.
“Moving forward, The Kraft Heinz Company will reinvest more of our dollars where they really matter–in our brands, our products, and ultimately, in benefitting our shared consumers,” a press statement issued by Kraft Heinz said.
