Lactalis Canada appoints Stephane Chatel to VP role

In his new role, Chatel will oversee quality control and food safety activities

Lactalis Canada has appointed Stephane Chatel to the position of vice-president, quality assurance. Chatel replaces Jennifer Boyles who is retiring next month.

In this position, Chatel will oversee the planning, management and execution of all quality management, quality control and food safety activities within Lactalis Canada.

Chatel brings more than 30 years of food industry experience to the role. He was most recently VP of quality and food safety for Weston Foods, and before that served as president quality, food safety and crisis management for Danone Canada’s dairy and plant-based business. 

Chatel also spent more than 20 years working for Danone in France, working in a number of progressive roles including plant quality, food safety and environmental director, and manufacturing quality director.
