Loblaw Companies has partnered with Eaigle to deploy the software company’s AI-powered technology across several of its distribution centres in Canada.

The food and pharmacy retailer is scaling Eaigle’s Vision AI gate automation technology, which validate vehicles and capture freight data in real-time.

It is designed to help automate routine gate processes, improving visibility and supporting more efficient movement of vehicles through distribution centres.

"We’re always looking for practical ways to improve how products move through our network so we can better serve our customers," said Wael Yehia, vice-president, National Transportation at Loblaw, in a press release. “Working with Canadian innovators like Eaigle allows us to leverage technologies that can help improve efficiency, support our operations teams and keep products moving reliably across our network.”
