Martin Parent named president of Mondelez Canada

Former Ultima Foods president and CEO Martin Parent has been tapped to lead Mondelez Canada, which consists of nine locations and more than 2,400 employees across Canada. Based in Toronto, Parent will report to Glen Walter, executive vice-president and president, North America.

"At Mondelēz International, we want to lead the future of snacking by empowering people to snack right – from the yummy bite to the feel-good, well-being moment," said Walter in a press release announcing Parent's hire. "I’m confident Martin will provide that leadership, with his excellent experience and tremendous passion – ensuring the business puts the Canadian consumer at the very heart of its growth ambition."

A veteran of the confectionery, food, and beverage industry, Parent also served as general manager at Mars from 2011 to 2014 in the Gulf/Middle East, Turkey & Africa, and worked for Cadbury in Canada, Australia and South-East Asia from 2003 to 2010.
