Once completed, the Maxi and Pharmaprix stores will create around 95 jobs.

New Maxi and Pharamprix (Shoppers Drug Mart) locations are set to open in Victoriaville, Que. late next year.

The stores, representing a multi-million dollar investment, will be part of a new commercial development located on Rue des Anémones, near Route 161.

This Maxi will feature the Loblaw Companies discount banner’s new store concept, combining wood, steel and natural light—much like No Frills’ new look. Customers will find an assortment of fresh products, locally sourced items, organic and natural products.

"At a time when Québécois are looking for more ways to save on their grocery bills, Maxi continues to be the smart choice," said Patrick Blanchette, senior vice-president of Maxi, in a press release. "While this store will feature a modern new design, customers can continue to count on the same value, quality products and low prices they know and trust from Maxi. Our commitment also extends to supporting local products by working hand in hand with regional suppliers and partners."

Meanwhile, the new Pharmaix will offer a selection of beauty products, cosmetics, fragrances and everyday essentials. The store will also feature a modern pharmacy care clinic space.

Once completed, the Maxi and Pharmaprix stores will create around 95 jobs.

"This project will help meet the growing demand for accessible community healthcare services," said Erik Courtemanche, district manager of Pharmaprix. "We look forward to strengthening our presence in Victoriaville and providing more convenient healthcare services tailored to the needs of local residents."
